Memory Bears can be made for living individuals as well. I have made them from favorite Kindergarten outfits for College Graduation Gifts to their favorite "blankie" for their Newborn Baby to hug. Memory Bears are wonderful for all kinds of memories NOT just Memorials for our lost loved ones. Our youngest daughter has a Memory Bear with her Baby Picture on it made from fabric she used to decorate her bedroom when she started High School. Others have made Memory Bears for their children who are being married using some of their clothing from childhood adding their picture to the tummy and giving them as "Bridal Gifts". The ideas for Memory Bears are many.

After my children left I picked up the bears and I lined them all up on the sofa in the family room so that when Reuben came home he would see them first thing. He wept and then I wept. They are even more perfect than I had hoped and he loved them. We are now making plans for how we will deliver them to the grandchildren before we take off for California. It has been all Reuben has talked about since I told him you were making them. Now he can't wait! Thank you from both of us! Susie

Dear Ruth- Our family received the memory bear today that you created out of scraps from a quilt that was made by my grandmother over 70 years ago. It is really wonderful. My son named it Della and immediately laid out the unused fabric you returned with the bear. He said the unused material was the bear's bed and he proceeded to put Della to sleep. Thank you.
